Default 91 Octane vs/ E85

I just wanted to see what the consensus is. I am a huge fan of E85 but I wouldn't be able to use it if I was to drive more than a couple hours from my house. Locally, its everywhere but I would like to race at a couple 1/4 mile strips that are about 2-2.5 hrs away. Two other strips that are about 5 hrs away. With that said....

Two identical engines, cars, set up...can I do the same ET with 91 that I could on E85? If not, how much difference? My goal is only sub 6 in the 1/8 consistently and daily driven with around 20mpg.

Car 1969 Chevelle, will be 3400lbs, great working suspension.

Engine 5.3 stock bottom end, with arp rod bolts, ring gap opened up to .028 on the top ring, Cam XER273 224/230 .581/.588 on a 114, stock heads for now with Patriot Gold Dual valve springs to .650, arp head studs, edelbrock throttle body intake with tall edelbrock elbow

Turbo's twin pt62's with stock wiring harness and ECM using hptuners, (air to air cooler and meth injection if I don't use E85) 40mm wastegates

Basically, can this be done without too much headache on the 91 or will E85 give me my only chance? I am wanting to run E85 but several are saying I can accomplish this on 91 and then I could still drive it anywhere. Figured I would ask some opinions.

Fuel System: Currently running A1000 but figured with the E85 I would have to run dual fuel pumps. Not sure if I would need to if I run 91?

Meth would probly be your best option for MPG wise and if you don't have access to E85. Also if you like to travel e85 might be a problem. You also won't need a huge fuel system since meth is sort of a bandaid for a fuel system.

That was kind of what I was thinking...as long as I could reach my goals on the 91 octane then there really is no sense in using the E85. I have used it for 3 years and love it but you can't travel anywhere. I figure I could save some cash also because I wouldn't have to buy huge injectors, and might not even need a second pump. Probably will but maybe not. Again, I don't need the car to run 5.50's. I just want it to run 5.95 all day in any conditions for the most part. This way I can say I have a true 5 sec daily driver.

Thanks for the input

IMO, 3400lbs, sub 6 sec 1/8th, stock bottom and 91 oct ain't gonna be easy. Fuel cans are cheap.

Meth will definitely be able to get you there. The kits out there are capable of spraying alot of meth. Especially with dual nozzles. E85 ios great in that it costs about the same per mile and when you get on it you dont have anything to worry about. But you need a hell of a fuel system to handle it.
It also seems you have answered your on question in that it isnt feesable for you to go anywhere with teh car if its E85 as there isnt stations on teh way. That could be a bitch if you get somewhere and need E85.

How about you run it on 91 octane on the street on a little lower boost setting and then drop a few gallons of C12 or something in with your 91 once you get to the track and bring it up to 95 octane for a little safety margin? You can have adjust boost on the fly from inside the cabin with this for $120: manual boost controller

Other companies make them too

That is a good point. Been so used to run E85, didn't even think about running race gas at the tracks. Great point!

My problem is I love E85 but you are so darn limit in how far I can drive. Very good point to drive on 91 octane and then put in some C12 or 16 at the track. I can do that. If I did it that way would my A1000 be enough or should I run two (91 octane /race fuel)?
