Default Does any re-use the manifold flange from the trucks?

I am using a flipped passenger truck manifold on my turbo build and I got the manifolds with the stock flanges (and about 2 inches of pipe). Can I use these on my turbo build or should I shell out the 30 for a pre-made flange? Only thing that concerns me is the flange/manifold uses a donut gasket.

If your worried, then ill sell you my old manifold flanges, I cut the flanges off so i could use v bands. this way they will bolt up and they are thick cast that wont warp or leak, just put a little ultra copper in between.

$10, or im gonna scrap em. lol

So you run the donut on the passenger manifold?

I use the stock flanges and no gaskets. Just the copper RTV.

and how do you run no gasket, seems like they dont meet up if there is no gasket (note how the flange has like legs that come down to the manifold)

Just remove the donut gasket and apply some high temp RTV and bolt it right to the manifold.

There is plenty of flat area left to seal up.

i guess i don't see how that'd work

the area between the stock flange and the manifold is set by the "legs" that come off the stock flange, even bolted up there is still a gap between the stock flange and the stock manifold if you don't run the donut.

I kept the donut. But...you could always flip the flange around and weld the the pipe to the other side. It looks like it would sit flush that way.
