Default 6.0 single turbo combinations

I am new to the turbo scene and am looking to build a turbo motor for my 68 camaro. I have a 6.0 iron motor and a 4l80e trans. What I am looking for is someones proven combination for something streetable but still puts out the power. Running on pump gas 93 octane. I am going to use the kwik performance brackets for the alternator, ps and vintage air compressor so if someone has some pics of how the hot side is run around all that stuff that would be great. Thanks

I dont have the Kwik brackets but here is mine. You will be very tight with A/C stuff in there too. You will prob end up having to build custom manifolds and hotpipes as I dont think anything else will fit down low like you will need.

Most guys running 6.0L on the street are running 70mm & 76mm turbos (single) and are making ~550rwhp to ~650rwhp.

You may also consider an 80mm if You think traction may be an issue, or a 67mm if Your definition of "puts out the power" is ~500rwhp.

See MightMouse's setup for the upper end of a streetable 6.0L, and Skinnies' setup (stock 5.3L, billet 76mm) for one helluva streetable curve. Don't set Your goals based on their setup.

Looking to still be streetable but 700 rwhp would be good.

PT76 and PT88 are good turbos, I would also suggest taking a look at the Borg Warner turbochargers. They have a few turbos that would work well.

How about engine internals? I was going to use the stock crank if possible , need recommendations on rods and pistons. Plan on using stock heads, are the stock valves ok? What intake? Is a stroker motor a better way to go? Thanks for the help!

My current build consists of an Iron 6.0 block, stock crank, Callies compstar rods and Mahle pistons. Good quality parts for a decent price. I also went ahead and used ARP studs for the mains and heads. I will also be using a pt76gts turbo.

Yes most everyone uses stock cranks. I went with a comp bb turbo,80mm. Made 777 whp through locked auto and 9 inch at 17psi. Another great proven turbo is the gts76 by precision. 700 is easy with a forged 6.0. And run the stock heads but use gm mls gaskets and arp head studs.
