Turbo Cam NEEDED - 6.0L Hey guys I need some input. I know this has been done before so I figure someone will chime in. I'm putting together a 6.0L LQ4 motor, 76mm turbo, with a built 4L60 behind it. Before I put the motor in I want to install a turbo cam. I've been looking at a lot of them. My goal is 650-700whp MAX (on E85).
I know turbo cams don't normally "lope" at idle due to the almost non existent overlap. I want that sound like my NA cammed Vette used to have. Who offers a TURBO cam that makes good power and still "lopes"???

I am not a 100% sure but the cam I just acquired is probably what you are looking for. It is the Comp Cams XER273 224/230 .581/.588 on a 114. From what I was told this is a nice cam for a turbo but definitely on the aggressive side. Hopefully someone else will chime in but I believe any of the "R" cams are going to have the "lope" you are looking for. Mine is just starting to come together but isn't running yet or I would send a sound clip.
I was looking for a turbo cam with an aggressive lope and went with the Brutespeed / EPP Turbo cam. 232/240 .595/.608 on 115 .
Google for sound clips, it has a lopey idle.
Don't forget pushrods / valvesprings.
Also that 4L60e better be built well with a turbo behind it!

I plan on going with a BUILT trans but Im still researching companies.
