Another LS6 cam question...
I'm building a stock bottom end 5.3 (LM7) and will be running a TC76 turbo, 100LB/hr injectors, dual Walbros, E85, and a Powerglide. I'll be at about 2,900LBs and the setup is in an RX-7.
I'm shooting for 600RWHP at 14lbs of boost.
I am planning on "freshening" up the 5.3. New water pump, oil pump, etc. I'm going to run rod bolts, head studs, nicer pushrods and springs.
At this point does it make sense to stay with the LS6 cam or go with something like the Lingenfelter GT2-3 which is a tad bit more aggressive?
I just don't know if a custom cam is really worth the money over the LS6 considering power levels. I'd like to spin to 6,500RPM and have a nice broad torque curve.

There is a chap on here and Yellowbullet called Skinnies. He has an RX-7 with a 5.3, turbo etc and I believe he uses a GT2-3
And runs low 8sec 1/4's
So either camshaft will make as much power as you'd ever need, combined with perfect street manners etc.
