LS1 D1SC Bracket? Electric Waterpump?
LS1 D1SC Bracket? Electric Waterpump? I'm in the market for a supercharger bracket to mount my D1s1 head unit to my 2002 Transam, that being said is there a bracket that allows the use of an electric water pump? or better yet a bracket that allows the head to actually be visible? I am leaning towards the Aster bracket but I wanted to see what other options I have.

The large bell shaped pulley that comes standard on the Meziere electric water pump won't work with the Aster bracket.
The standard LS1 F Body water pump and aftermarket water pumps with the "bell shaped" pulley cannot be used with the Aster bracket. This is due to utilizing the standard Procharger eight rib 7.65 crank pulley. A smaller crank pulley could of been used, but would result in having to use a smaller head unit pulley to maintain blower speed. Smaller pulleys lead to less belt wrap, and having to replace the water pump to maintain the larger ProCharger crank pulley is a small price to pay. The GM Corvette 2005 LS2 part number 89018052 water pump (shown above) is the one to use. The pulley needs to be pressed forward 11/32 of an inch, to properly align the accessory belt. We can supply the water pump with the pulley already moved forward, or you can purchase the water pump yourself.This bracket has been in use for several years with the above water pump, and has proven itself to be extremely dependable.
