O-ringed block, what head gasket?
This is true, but it did eventually begin pressurizing the radiator, even though boost had been lowered to 16lbs. We also used custom copper head gaskets and a double o-ring setup with receiver grooves in both the heads and the block (Brian Tooley worked with us on that). But this also eventually leaked. Keep in mind, at the time we were doing this, there were no aftermarket heads available. So I attribute most of these issues to the thin deck surface of the factory casting heads.
Do you think I should still use a copper gasket or will I be ok with the composite Fel-Pro gasket?
P.S. I remember that Buick Turbo T Limited you had. I had a 87 T-type that I was trying to copy what you did to yours. I liked the grandma look with the column shift but you knew it meant business with the police laptop station bolted to the floor in it! Do you know where that car is today? Man that was a bad *** car.
