pulley belt slip?

pulley belt slip?
I have a v9 g trim on my ls1.
what pulley combinations can I switch to before the belt is going to slip? I have all forged internals so i'm not worried about hurting anything. also, with a smaller pulley size where would I get a smaller belt or would the tentioner take care of this?

I am running the 2.95 with the stock belt and the 8 rib setup with no slip that I can tell... I hear there are guys running the 2.75 but IDK about belt slip. I got the factory belt replacement at Oriley auto parts. It would be nice if the lower pulley was a lil bigger to allow a larger upper pulley and get the same results.

The part # is 2A038-295 and I bought it off ebay for $70 or so. You will have to machine a little off the back to make it line up with your kit. It's either 0.275 or 0.375, I cant remember. I would use a machinist caliper to double check it against your stock one. I was at 6.5-7lbs with the 3.12 and now Im at 9lbs. There boost #'s were measured @ 6000 RPM where I shift.

I dont think you would have any issues with belt slip on a v9. I had a 2.95 on my v1 and never noticed any belt slip. Then I went to a ysi with a carbinite coated 2.5" and it slipped horribly and self destructed the belts. The v9 doesnt have alot of resistance because its maxed out around 10#. Hope this helps some.
