Default oil return

anyone returned from turbo into truck pan where oil sensor is? pump needed if turbo is cylinder head height or slightly higher?

That is not a good location due to the oil being too high and wont let it drain back properly

its not suggested but mine is plumbed that way. I have taken it to 8200 with no problems. My turbo is mounted about cylinder head high so it has a 6" drop right out of the turbo and then a gradual slope down to the pan. Its -12 as well.

I put mine in there when I was using the stock pan and never had a problem. I ran a
1/2" NPT tap in the existing hole.

parker has them. cant remember the factory thread but i have one that screwed right in and had -12 or -16 fitting on it.

I think the thread is a 16mm but I just welded a -12 aluminum bung over the hole.
I don't have a picture of it installed but this is on the engine stand.

I clamped to the pan bolts.
