Since, for some strange reason, they still have E85 banned from x275 I'll be running Q.

There is plenty of room to the tower, its the master cylinder that gets in the way. I'll snap you a photo tomorrow.

I had a couple of hours to work on it today. Got the radiator mounted and got my merge done. Not the best merge I've built, but it will do the trick. I'm so used to merging 2.5" into a t6 flange, 3" kinda kicked my ***. My car now has to go on the back burner for a bit, I have three other turbo setups I need to knock out before diving back into mine. Lucky for me, the rest of mine is easy sailing and I can knock it out in a long evening.

Nice, and since the X275 world that isn't familiar with corn thinks it's so comparable to Q you'll be ahead of the curve

Stock ecu staying put?

I moved over to a bs3 this year for data logging reasons and to eliminate needing an injector driver and two step, plus I scored the big stuff for $1100 so I couldn't pass it up.

Car looks great Jason, I always like to see that car at the track. Where are the races, NLR, GLD?

Thank you. GLD, Indy, and I'm hoping Milan will have a 275 deal. I'd like to make it down to GA for the fall race as well.

Edit: Forgot, I was thinking about hitting the NMCA 275 if they came back to Indy this year, but they are goofy with their cubic inch weight penalty.

So is this 1/8th mile racing, and what are you shooting for, 5.20's or quicker?

shoot, to win any of our local races 5.20`s is close to the bump if not the bump. to win 4.90`s are needed and that was last year. That being said i`m sure he will have no problem running 5.0`s-4.90`s maybe even 80`s on a good track. Then again I don`t know what the field is like where you live, but we have a lot of heavy hitters here in nc and va on up to md.

Looks great Jay.

Is there a reason why you mounted the turbo non centered ? I noticed the piping kinda has to jog back and forth rather than a straight shot into the car.

Only thing that comes to mind is possibly easier plug changes ? I know on the Rat and my car its a straight shot but impossible to do plug changes with the piping on. Looks like the way you have it there might still be enough room to access ?

Plugs are all done from the bottom. Turbo was put there for two main reasons. Radiator and to get some weight off the driver side.

Jay, car looks sick and I actually like the way all the piping is. It looks like the piping from inside the car to the turbo can be straighter. BUt I figure you can tackle that later in the race game. FIrst, get the car out and have some fun.

Actually, it can't be. With the front bumper off you can't see the stuff that gets in the way that caused me to throw it that far to the side before coming back up. Besides, do you guys really think that stuff is gonna make a difference? I'd have to say no considering how many cars have them stuffed in the back of the car and have to bend around cages and what not.

I decided to go ahead and start in on the rear of the car today. I haven't liked the tin work since day one, so that's getting re-done. I also wanted to pull the wheels in a bit, so I need to make some more room!

These are the wheel tubs that are going in.. They might be slightly overkill, but **** it. The car will be going to Race Engineering to get them fitted, as I'm not willing to risk scrapping a set trying it myself.

I went ahead and notched the frame and put the new rear end under the car today to see how it all fits. Looks MUCH better now that it tucks the 12" rim under it.

That looks GREAT! Cant wait to race with you this year. Can you measure the section width of the hoosiers on those 12" rims. Im trying to figure out if I can fit that same thing on my car as it sets.
