Thinking about putting this on my boat
I am putting a 5.3 with 241 heads in a jetboat . Heads are not milled yet , so the comression is down around 9.1:1 . I have this setup laying out back , I am thinking about having the turbo checked out or rebuilt and putting it on the LS . I would probably only try to run about 6-10psi of boost because the bottom end is still stock . Here is a pic of the setup , it is a Powerstroke diesel engine with the complete turbo setup still mounted . Any input on this ?

That turbo is way too small to run any kind of RPM. That's a 7.3 international and that turbo is like a T3 .81ar hotside if I recall (forget exactly, I should know that's what motor is in my '02 F250) If that motor runs/did run you're probably better off craigslisting it and taking the money from that motor and putting it into even an off the shelf inexpensive borg turbo
Iam not going to be seeing any crazy high rpms in the boat . I will be happy if I can get it to 6500 .
Where would I find an off the shelf turbo that is the right size for my setup ?

How about something like this one ? I know its a cheaper one , but will it get me started on the project and maybe upgrade later ?
