Default Is a TU2 to big for a 364?

I will be running a stock 364 shortblock on m turbo for some time till it blows or I decide to replace it. I did search and could find very little about it and the TU1. I would like to if at all possible run this cam so i wont have to switch later down the road but, will go smaller if I must.

Cam spec 236/236 .587/.587 lsa 112.5

Also does anyone know the rpm range of the cam?

Thanks Derek

i had a 230/234 on my little 4.8 that loved to rev to the moon and made serious power, however it killed the low end BAD.

at 3500 rpms it was making less than 150 ft lbs of torque to the wheel, and even less hp.

I think some guys may be running the TU2 on a 370. I was told by speed inc that running a TU2 on my forged 347 is too much for my CI. I have a TU1 and love it btw. I don't think you'll be disappointed with a TU1 if that is the route you go, but give speed inc a call and ask them if a TU2 is good for your application.

BTW, love the sig I can't tell if I'm genius or a retard considering about 4 people currently have a quote of mine in their sig.

Yeah i have bought a tu1 cam before to put in my forged 347 i had but sold the motor and cam before it got to running. Im only looking to put close to 600rwhp to the ground for now. Like you stated I have seen a few people running them in 370 but, didnt know if the extra .030 piston size made that much of a difference.

Willizm how far do you spin the tu1 cam? If i can keep it around 6300 shift point id rather do that and not trash the motor having to rev to the moon.

Derek, I have the same plan as you. Stock 6.0 until it blows or I can afford to forge it. I PM'd INTMD8 (Jim from Speed Inc.) and told him my plans for the car. I went with the TU1. My initial plan was to run the TU1 cam only until I can save for the rest of the turbo parts, but I am just going to finish it up all at once now. Jim said the TU1 would be a fun driver cam only and will make some serious power when turbo'd.

Good luck!

Yeah i was going to forge my motor but it happens im building the entire can and spending alot of money everywhere else. I have seen stock 6.0's take alot of power .
