the video is great, the cars are fantastic. but please, please leave racing for the racetrack. thankyou.

you're the biggest hypocrite of all. You EMS drivers are the biggest streetracers around. always running through lights and speeding in traffic. LOL. no but seriously why are you on this forum if you dont like streetracing or fast cars.

Take it to the street racing and kills section, you'll get a more captive audience there.

Ive been in a bad accident at a race track. My friend just a few weeks ago was in a horendous accident at a track........In my case....(and there was a case) it was determined that no track makes any promises of supplying a safe, or safer enviroment of any kind. They even go so far as to tell you that anything can happen. Its basically legal to run anyone down on a race track premise, and say ooooops. By being their they reconize its a dangerous place and that anything can happen.

In my case and esspecially in my freinds accident just a few weeks ago the ems team was dangerous, unpreparred, untrained, and down right unbelievable. Time in both of our cases had zero to do with our survival, and if we would have needed life saving rescue we woud have surely died. So, if we would have been on the street, we would have both received better, more professional rescue, better prepared, and insurance would have covered the vehicles......
In both cases, another vehicle was not involved at all...it would have mearly been an accident with speed involved.

sad but true.....

I hade 5 broken bones....and other injuries, my friend had 4 that I know of...2 in his back.....a couple other issues too....even the ambulance wouldnt start....

Haven't you ever heard if you don't have anything nice to say then

I'm going to have to agree with this guy^^^. Doing 150mph on the track or street and have a wreck there will be injuries no matter what. The track is no safer than the street. As far as the EMT thing, most track owners still run without them being there, so where's the safety in that? When wrecks happen at the track you never see that on the news, even if the driver dies. You only see it on the NHRA level. Now street racing, let somebody just get injured, not die and its all over the news.

I am not defending street racing in no way, but if you don't like it just stay away from it.

Great video, love 1/4 mile track racing but theres nothing like a good street race...

Guess you could say street racing is in my blood, heres a little site i stumbled upon and if you scroll down to "Kenny Spencer" thats my grand pop.. I submitted a picture to the site OP of his old car.

http://mysite.verizon.net/vzesm9ey/id6.html

Keep street racing alive just dont be dumb about it.

Thanks for the disclaimer. I must agree that street racing is dangerous and some of the conditions in which people street race are especially dangerous. We are a group of grown men (30+ yrs old for the most part) that have been doing battle on these streets for 20+ yrs for some of us. You'll note that we are on a 4 lane highway with no traffic and a large median in the middle of the night. There are also no intersections and it's a flat straight road with no bystanders on the side.

I like to race 1/4 mile but the waiting between rounds, oil downs and sucky prep make it suck sometimes. That's not to mention the fact that I am fortunate to know the management at my track and they let me race without having to turn my car into a race car to meet all the IHRA/NHRA rules. The car works very well on the track and this race wouldn't have been very close or much fun to watch as I woulda put atleast a car on him in the first 60' and kept on pulling from there.

Info in my sig. I was probably in the high 700's power wise at 16-17 psi. The Caddy was making around 850 to the wheels but had about 300#'s raceweight on me. I have another 6 psi to give but not sure how much of it I could hook. Haven't done much street racing with this setup.

The caddy motor paid with it's life for this race. It leaned out up top and torched the deck of the head and the block.

You obviously have never ridden in a 1000WHP+ car.

Damn that sucks. How bad did it lean out? Fueling issue or tune-up issue?

12.9:1 on E85 (gas scale). He thinks the MAP Sensor flaked out but his fuel system is on the edge.

noonzor we get what your saying but honest its there call, i see nothing wrong with 2 cars running in the middle of no where with no one around, only people that are going to get hurt is the people racing, listen im not a fan of people standing up and down the streets when drags are going on, i can see your point if they were in the middle of rush hour or in a 35mph zone with people around, honest you wasted your time with your post, all i heard was blah, blah, blah, we all know the dangers of racing ,and its something that will be around forever, next time just say good kill and move on
