Is that part of the parking or E brake cables wound up on the broken drive shaft?

hi thanks for the comments!!! ultimate sleeper on the street?? haha!!! 4050pd includes me mate but i,m a lightweight 160 odd pd !!! thats with no rear seats carpet etc!!!! yes mate handbrake cable is wrapped up in centre bearing!!!! here,s a few more pics full cage and chute!!!

Hope our BW488 works out for you. Car should jump an easy 200-300hp.

hi finally got a chance to run the wagon last night !!!! first pass 16psi went 9.9@140 then on 19psi went 9.85@143 then so close to a pb 9.75@146.8mph not sure on that mph seems a couple too fast!! then went 9.84@143!!! good night all 9s and put the 20s back on and drove home perfect!!! got an updated race weight 1710kg without me so right around the 4000pd mark with me!! pulled chute for the first time slowed me but not as much as i thought!! track wasn,t prepped very well only a street meet !!! anyway will have another go soon then go new s488 and afr heads and e85!!! cheers

hi ran the wagon again last night went well first pass went 9.83@147mph left lane must be reading 3 mph fast!!! then went new pb by 2 thousands 9.736@143.9mph then better again pb 60ft 1.511 9.730@142.4mph then went for broke got nearly 8psi boost on handbrake smashed tyres huge wheel spin and some axle tramp had to get off it 2.1 60ft 11.6@140mph haha next felt good 9.80@143mph then dropped tyre pressure didn,t work 1.67 60ft 9.9@145mph anyway all good thru 20s back on and cruised home down freeway perfect!!! now its time to throw on new turbo ,heads ,e85 fuel and plenty of other goodies should be killer and make some good numbers!!! cheers

hi mate genuine e85 is only avaible in 2 or 3 places in sydney 2 of which are on the way to work!!!! there are 15 or so caltex eflex servos in sydney but seeing we are in winter it,s more like e70 so i would only use it if desperate seeing i would have an e85 tune!!! my tuner russo performance have just finished an lsx street car twin turbo build with e flex went 1040rwhp thru 6l80e so even the eflex is good stuff!! anyway cheers

Well done mate, I remember this wagon with the first setup.
Has come a very long way and seems to only get better.

Keep us updated as im hoping to have my ute out and racing by the years end.
Would be good to go head to head then cruise sydney after haha

yeh cheers i,m just running a mt et drag 28x9 slick which is only really 27.3 inch tall!!! just on a set of chaser,s widened to 15x8 with a 6 and 3/4 inch backspace which i farked up and went too far use a 1/4 inch spacer to stop scrub on inner guard!!! remember wagons/utes have different chassis allowing bigger tyre so if its a sedan less b/space is required!!!!also run poly airbags in rear!!!!!also tried to run these tyres on weld prostar 15x8 with 5.5inch b/space and srubbed on outer guard big time !!!!!! cheers

Thanks for all advice,what sort of polybags do you reccomend,my car is vz monaro ran 10.5 132mph on 275/15 et steets got plenty wheel spin running vortech v7 12.5 boost ran it with exhuast first outing at Heathcote,next time slicks drop twin 3 D/F off shes auto 4l80e 3.4 gears your opinoin is tops making 530rwk.

no worries mate search polyair!!!! dont think they like links on this site!!!!the red series ones go for $295 these were on the car when i bought it 8 years ago!!!! i,ve been thinking about dropping exhaust also but havn,t bothered!!!!anyway sounds like a nice setup!!! i was runnin 275/50/15 et streets also but was always breaking stock cv,s t/shaft yokes etc ran 10.2@134 maxing out the 3.73 gearing!!! put the taller 27.3 x9 slick first outing went 9.73@140 yeeha now run 3.45s have picked 4mph but have only just beaten the et by thousandths!!! anyway cheers

Thanks for help will look into airbags monaros are nice but heavy car plus cast iron block etc.Nothings easy looks but it aint good effort always had soft spot for wagons.How much power did you gain going to E85 looks the goods for boosted aplications.

hi just an update new goodies arrived !!! new aussie made higgins ls7 style 6 bolt heads so i could use them on an lsx in the future!!! they have a 0.85 thick deck perfect for boost!!!! shauns custom alloy manifold suit ls7 with fast t/body!!! morel tie bar lifters,rockers etc etc also bought 215 litres of e85 44 gal drum in the back another reason for the wagon haha anyway with the new hp88mm turbo should produce the goods!!!! cheers

hi just an update stopped in at russo performance for a look today!!!! russo decided to pull motor and give it a freshen up !!!glad they did they found a broken main cap !!!!block is in getting machined now then reassembly ,install all the good bits and tune too come!!! bring it on haha
