Default Boost controller worth it?

Bought a used greddy profec and it doesn't seem to be working. I think I will go with a harder spring on my wastegate.
Curious what your opinions are on electronic boost controllers? Worth it or not?
The reason I thought or think they are worth it b/c of the adjustment to hold the WG closed longer to get to desired boost faster.

When i was having trouble getting my dialed in perfectly on my GTO, i bought and used a B-specII as well, after i got it figured out, i loved it. I had high back pressure issues and although the problem never got "FIXED" it did bandaid it and allowed me to get into boost faster.

I felt it was worth it to me. But like i said, i had a poorly designed turbo build, but what can i say, it was my first attempt, lol

Jax,
Perhaps I need more time to figure it out. The adjustments when it comes to "boost start and boost gain" is somewhat confusing.
Do you remember your typical settings?

GAIN SET?
If not no worries. Thanks in advance.
