Default D1-SC with Stock Internals???

Looking to purchase an ATI D1-SC. I am currently running the TR224-112 cam, but would swap that out for some type of blower cam.
Questions:
What would be a good cam to go with the ATI? Bigger the better

Can I run 8lbs with the D1-SC on stock internals?

Thanks

That's what I run, eight pounds. You'll see less boost with different cams and LT's, but you'll be making more power regardless. Hey, I just realized that I know you!!

That ya do , I am eyeballing that setup that Dave has for sale

Thankfully, you are not too local--cause so far as anyone knows around here I am not doing anything else to my car anytime soon

dont do it, if you add a sc forge the internals maximize your airflow and add alky injection and thermal coat your pistons as insurance against detonation

I had the same cam and put down the following on stock internals

10PSI 521rwhp/501 rwtq
12PSI 587 rwhp/530 rwtq

I would not run more than 10PSI and your safer and still plenty fast at 8PSI, especially if yours is a daily driver.

12-13PSI broke ringlands on 2 out of 8 pistons for me....now I'm broke$ but only because of a forged 408CI in progress
