Default Mounting turbo to frame

I am building a turbo kit that puts the turbo in the battery location, i have it almost all welded together now but i am wondering if i should of put some flex joints in the cross over cause i do have the flange mounted to the frame to support the turbo... Do i need the flex joints even tho i am using the tubular soild motor mounts???

I did not use any flex joints in my exhaust and the turbo flange is bolted solid to my rail on 1/8" steel plate risers. They have a little give incase somthing needs to give a little. But i seriously dont see anything moving.
I looked at many high power turbo cars at the track that were solid mount turbos with no flex joints. Can it hurt to use em. No not at all. Do they fail if you dont buy high dollar expensive ones.. Yup. If you have solid motor mounts and tranny mount i dont see a problem.

Well it gets softer.and what metal are u refering too? Mounts or exhaust. and it also matters if he used stainless or mild steel tubing. But were do you see things moving? Engine and trans arnt going no were? If motor isnt moving then were do we aquire movement?

i didnt say he shouldnt use flex pipe but he also said its all almost finished.

Vibrant sells some nice 4" long 2.5" diameter interlock inner liner pieces. That's what I used on my setup.

Whats the general rule of thumb for how many flex joints are needed? Ive only got one in my crossover and dont have the turbo braced..would i need solid motor mounts if i weld turbo to the frame?

Im of the opinion that each cross over should have one. But that could just be me over thinking the situation.
