should i super or turbo?

should i super or turbo? I have 8K to invest in a 2002 Trans Am. TheCar is in outstanding condition. I was thinking either a blower or turbo setup. what is generally a better power adder or it just a preference thing? Does one have a longer lifespan than the other, is one harder to maintain than the other? what gives the most HP per $? is there a consensus on this? I'm not trying to start a war between turbo and supercharger drivers, just need some infor so i can decide what i want to do. Don't want to juice because i want the power all the time, not just when i decide to push a button and i don't want to constantly be filling up a tank. Thanks everyone.

Well you should do a search! But I would say Turbo. Turbos are a quiter as compared to a supercharger with headers. Power on a turbo isn't always there so dailydriving is like stock. I have a procharger car and a twin turbo car and both with nos and the turbo is my favorite by far. And the the cost to upgrade a supercharger is more than a turbo as a turbo you can just up the boost when a supercharger you have to change the pullies and Procharger had the belt slip isue that can be solved by buying a cog setup. Bang for the buck turbos.
