Does this even sound fair?

both of those vehicles use a water cooled turbo which keeps it below the coking threshold (quote)
Hmmm. Cant say about the Ford but i didnt think that sprinter was water cooled but you are prolly right as it has been a while since i have looked at one. Still though, i dont think he is anywhere near having a coking problem. I agree that something must have not been right when it was built. I just know of too many vehicles with turbos that my friends dont let idle to cool them. They just shut them off. I hope they change their minds on this.

Im looking at getting a turbo off a yellowbullet sponsor.......... If you dont mind PM me the name you bought from because what they are spewing is complete BS for that little of run time!!! and i prefer not to deal with someone like that.

The sponsor is NOT at fault. It is under manufacture warranty and it should have been honored. If they hold up then great. If they don't I will buying a different set up and a different brand. It does sound a little BS to me. The problem is that super chevy is in two weeks and that is the big race I am trying to get ready for this year. I'll only get to race about 4 times this year and unforturnetly paid the $500. They fixed it and hopefully shipped it out today. My next set will not be precision though.

Will do. I plan on making the 2.5 hr drive down for the true street and competing in the 30 mile drive and 3 passes. Hopefully, I get my 9 sec pass and make it back home. We'll see. I'll be in "Black Death"

I've read all of this and know you went ahead and bent over and "touched your toes" for them but I also just wanted to so it is a total BS excuse on their part. Period.

So Memphis is back open? I had heard rumors that they were but you know how rumors go. Is NHRA coming back as well?

Back in my DSM days, I purchased my first Precision (SCM6153E still alive in another car after 7 yrs after purchase) and then my GT4082 which they upgraded for me. I put the car together over a course of 6 months and my first pass I noticed that there was something wrong. Sent the turbo back and they said they would either have to fix it or I could take an in store credit. Try that route...in store credit. To be honest, all my turbo's have been journals and the last thing you want is to idle a non oil/water cooled turbo. Good luck.
