Default 5.3 (LH6), which ON3 for me?

I'm building an 84 RCSB S10, and will be using the 5.3 from my Trailblazer EXT that was in a roll-over, along with a TH350 back to a Ford 8.8 with spool and 3.73's.

799 heads, springs, TU1 cam, LS7 lifters, ARP head bolts.

Truck intake, truck manifolds. Eventually will upgrade to Edelbrock Vic Jr EFI and 4150 TB with hat.

More power the better, but chassis will only be accepted for 9.99. Would like a 10.50 bracket racer. Minimal street use due to solid spool and lack of necessary equipment (lights, turn signals, wipers).

With the 9.9:1 CR, and pump 93, I'm thinking the 70 will work, but seems like a lot of folks running the 5.3 are using the 76. So if I went with a 76, should I get the biggest turbine AR?

I was going to run twins, but after long consideration I'm back to the single bandwagon.

How are they price wise compared to other vendors with similar turbos? Reason I ask is I have seen some shady stuff about that shop and after hearing their customer service first hand I would refuse to give them money.

They have been proven to be good turbos. So why not.

I say the t76 with the. 96 ar. The 1.0 is a divided. And mines working great so far 500 miles later and the shaft isn't all sloppy. I'm running 10psi and can't wait for 8 psi more this weekend

I would take a look at the gt45 ebay unit. VS racing sells them for around $300 bucks with a starter pipe.

if you must use them get the biggest hot side they offer that day (everything changes every time you call them). On3 has bar none the worst customer service I have ever come across. I called them to let them know I never received the flanges with my waste gates that I had already inquired about two previous times. The owner chewed me out claiming I had previously spoken to some guy he fired I think he was lying or at least they sounded exactly the same. And I still never received my flanges or a call back about them.

I really don't know.
I do know that the gt45 has a bigger hotside wheel compared to the on3 76mm.
And it has a 1.05 a/r hotside.

I've read that they will support 700rwhp. There is a guy on the turbo forums that says he is making 600rwhp on 10psi with a stockish ls1. I have never used one personally just researched them some for a project.

I am curious about that too. I have a ebay GT45 and have been considering an on3 76mm, but i'm unsure if it will make any more power.

The GT45 has a small compressor wheel and the ON3 units have smaller turbines. Like someone said, combine the two and then you have something. Since your building somewhat of a drag truck Id get a BW S475. Spend the extra $400 on the turbo and make some real power.

If your dead set on using an offbrand unit, Id try the GT45. The one with the 68.9 compressor wheel and 77mm turbine wheel.
