Default Does my turbo need to be rebuilt??

I have a T-76 non ball bearing, 10w 30 mobile one ever 3000 miles with 10,000 miles on the turbo. Today, when I removed my air filter for cleaning, I grabbed the turbo impeller and was able to move it up and down and side to side. Should I not be able to move it, or will the oil tighten it up when running? Does this mean that I need new bearings in my turbo??
Thanks.

Side to side play isnt a main concern unless it excessive. Can you move the impeller in and out? You shouldn't have any in and out play.

Okay thanks bro, I did find a video on youtube last night that showed acceptable shaft play and unacceptable play, it's under "Turbo Turbocharger Shaft Play". I think I'm safe.
Thanks
