Default Simplest catch can setup

I'm finishing up my turbo build and still haven't quite figured out what to do with the PCV system or what to do for crankcase evap. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible.

Currently, I have a vented Moroso catch can (single -12 inlet). I bought a -12 bung to weld into my valve cover with some -12 fittings and hose. Anyway, can pretty much everything else from the valve covers/intake just be capped off? I was planning on welding the bung into the hole in the driver's side valve cover. I do not have an intake on my turbo, it will be open.

I have a 2005 L33 with an LS6 intake.

you'll need a fresh air inlet on the opposite valve cover

Can I run vacuum tubing from the throttle body to the passenger side valve cover then?

not from the t-body, that will pressurize the crankcase under boost, just put a filter on the pass valve cover fitting

Just connect the catch can to the valve cover and cap everything else off. I have mine venting from the valley pan that is tapped, but it's pretty much the same thing. The catch can just catches vapors from the crankcase. I can't see oil vapors being sucked into the intake help make more power.

I tried this last year and it eventually saturated the filter and dripped onto my manifold. Just cap it or run to a catch can.

To the OP I have an LS6 valley cover if you are interested. Has the breather port on the front and clears the TB.

+1 on capping off the intake. Just run a hose from each valve cover to a vented can.

I run a hose from the driver rear and pass front rocker cover to a vented catch can. The rear pass side and intake manifold are blocked off. I would vent both sides of the engine not just one.

The simplest and easiest is adequate venting of rocker covers and/or valley cover into a good and well designed catch can or oil/air separator, whatever you want to call it.

PCV's and all that may offer benefits, but add complication. Simple is good in my book

I vent both valve covers and have 2 x -10 in the valley all into a large can which then returns any deposits back into the oil pan.
Fit and forget.
