E-Fan Setup for 411 PCM
I've been searching for a few weeks now about how to properly setup the 411 PCM for dual fans @ single speed, with little luck.
After playing around with the tune for several days I'm resorting to this thread.
I have my wiring harness pinned for both fan outputs as follows:
Fan 1 - Pin 41 (blue connector)
Fan 2 - Pin 33 (red connector)
These two leads supply the ground for the coil on my individual relays.
Currently, the #1 fan works as commanded. I've changed the ECT's around and the fan reacts as it should. However, I cannot get fan #2 to come on. I have swapped the fans to opposing relays and the other fan will work, so I know this is not a mechanical issue, nor a mix-up on fan #2's wiring.
I have the following setup in HPT

Obviously the ECT setting for Fan #2 is not optimal, I just had it set low for testing purposes (not having to wait till engine gets hot to trigger it on)
If anyone can shed some light on something I might be missing thats preventing Fan #2 from being triggered I'd greatly appreciate it.
There is no AC, and i have a standalone harness. Pin 33 is setup for HVAC Recirc control on the truck PCM, however it is configurable within HPT (as you can see I have set it for Fan #2 above)

I can't remember 100%, but I believe I already tried this. Also, examining F-body tunes that employ dual speed settings, their setups conflict your theory
(Fan 2 hysteresis drops below Fan 1 threshold)

I mis-labeled the above tune in my repository. Went back through and noticed it was set up for 60# injectors - I'll have to go back and give this a shot again tonight.
Below is how it is setup on a stock tune

I wont be able to get back to the car for potentially a few weeks. Looks like the rear casing seal for the water pump is leaking so I'll have to dig into that as well....
And FWIW I simply put both relay triggers on the primary fan wire out of the PCM and they're both coming on now. I drove it to work this morning with the hood finally on and my coolant temps never got above 205ish on a 30 minute journey.
I may be looking at a bigger alternator, these Derale 11.75's are rated at 2200CFM per fan (25 amps per unit) so I'm pulling some good juice with both of these on constantly. Any suggestions? Read some info that the 05 alternator was also beefed up to accommodate aforementioned electric fans....
