From his posts, he just doesnt want to use an LS1 block which is his choice.

If on a tight budget, consider a 5.3 build.
budget isnt tight, just dont want to build a motor that will be a two-pass car and come apart. i think ls2 will do fine.

LS2 block is a good choice to start with. If your using the LS2 block, I would take the bore out to a 4.030 and go with a stock crank. You'd be right around 370ci and because of the increase in bore size, there's less issues with valve shrouding. The LS1 block is plenty strong for what your trying to do with forged internals as well but overall the LS2 would be a better choice. I run a cam which is just a little larger then the brute speed cam but Bobs cam has very good results...turbo, blown and N/A...it's a well proven cam imo. The more efficient you can make the combo, the better off you'll be.

There are a lot of people pushing 600 700 plus rwhp on there forged ls1. I will be another one of them. My old setup made 680rwhp at 6k. New setup should do bout 750ish. I am not scared.

and i hear just as many sucess stories as i hear failures. im not scared either i just dont want to rebuild a motor after two passes. im not scared to spend the extra and build a more reliable motor.

I just finished building my forged 347 with an ls6 block and we'll see what it dynos in a few weeks after I get my water/meoh injection done.

DSchmittie1 on here ran a forged ls1 with a D1 procharger for a while, then switched to a turbo and ran that for a while until he bent the stock crank. He was making over 800 at the wheels. He bent the crank before he hurt the block.

I dont agree.
Tune is usually the source of the destruction of a fully forged LS block. Your successes you hear are of proper block prep and proper tunes. The others are a lack of. Perhaps the rare occurrence is from bad luck
I would not question a 347 with 15+ of boost if properly prepped.

I was running 15lbs with my D1 no issues besides some belt slip.

Now going to run 15lbs with the F1C. it is built to handle it and I have a good tuner.

I'd like someone to find me a cam that doesn't work well with a procharger?
