Somethings wrong, car in sig is full weight plus a hundred or so lbs and runs 12.0's @117 with 1.95 60ft's. On the dyno I lost the passenger o2 sensor and it was so rich the dyno wouldnt even read a hp # because It was blowing black smoke and sounded like we were hitting the rev limiter. My afr's are 11.3-11.5 and thats still a bit rich for a reason as the engine has 203k on it and has been that way for 30k or so, GL.

you are def way down on power. whats the elevation where you are racing? even if you were racing on a mountain the car should still be faster than that. is it reading 9psi during the run? or is that what it was tuned at? also, what were your hp and torque numbers? sorry if they were posted and i missed it. wayyyy back when, when my car had only tsp duals, stock air lid, stock paper filter, from the factory tires and spark plugs, i trapped almost 111mph. with a 6 speed. in a full weight, full optioned SS.

dont just accept this and put a cam etc in, figure out this problem, fix it, and then start modding. there is definetly something wrong. what plugs are you running and what are they gapped at? you could be blowing spark out too. does the car sound terrible during a pass?

first thing i would do is throw the stock rockers back on and take it out and make a hit. see what happens. just make sure you only change one thing at a time

His mph is way low so its showing its not just the suspension/bad launch. There's some serious issues at hand. Like the guys said, get some one your tune files and have them checked out. That's bolton zone, you should be able to put your car into the 11's without to many problems.

It has to be either several things.

1) Pulling massive amounts of timing from the IAT, ECT, Knock, or burst knock tables
2) It's rich as hell which will kill power
3) Misfires
4) Stock y-pipe and a blower do not go hand in hand at all. A blower has to have great exhaust to get the charge out to get new charge in.

These are just a few of many possible things wrong. Best thing you could do is log it with HPT.

My guess is it is running real rich with my wot at 10.2. I do have stock y pipe the I was to do away with but it has since weird edelbrock shorty headers. I've been contemplating buying an HP tuner but don't know how hard they are to use or tune. It was dump tuned with a HP tuner. I do have to figure out why it is misfiring.

If you're seeing 9lbs of boost you're seeing 9lbs of boost. I'm not saying it doesn't have belt slip, but I don't think it's on your list of major issues.

If I were you I'd listen to the guys above and start with throwing in some TR6's with a .032-.035 gap and get that tune fixed. Don't regap yours, just get a fresh set. That AFR is very rich, and you may have fouled some plugs out. That's easy stuff to start with, cause you're WAY off from where you should be.

Does it break up on top end? That gap is pretty big, so you could be blowing out spark. I would have the car tuned by a real tuner to me it seems like it was never tuned by a pro or even half that( no offense) with a 10.2 afr that's crazy. Just my $.02

yeah. intsall new 6's and try the 0.032. thats what bob recommends usually, and alot of people have had success with that plus/gap combo. good luck, and dont get discouraged. youll get it.

I had it at a good tuner could have just had problems when it was tuned. Might take it to another tuner tomorrow to get there opinion. Might pull the plugs too and tighten the gap. If I do have to get it retuned I might go speed density as well.

well make sure they still look pretty, because if not its just not worth it when they are only 1.89 a piece. i think your on the right track with getting a second opinion.

I ran a 11.88 at 120mph on a 1.8 60' on 8lbs, full weight plus roll bar and moser 9". my AFr's are in the mid to low 11's as well. Granted I have LS6 heads and a 224r cam and full exhaust. But I also run Meth 50/50 mix. No intercooler.

a D1 on 9 psi should make more then my set up or right at it. 510whp ish
