Borla or Magnaflow or ? on turbo
I know this is always subject to ones opinion but wanted to start and see.
First off I have turbo charged my 5.3 in my 68 Chevy pickup. I have a 3 inch down pipe and am ready for a muffler. I will probably do a cutout so I can make it real loud but was looking for a muffler that will sound good behind the turbo I enjoy driving this thing and have had it on the power tour a few times so I dont like the drone I had with some flowmaster knock offs.
I also dont like pulling up in my hot rod and nobody looks cause it is just too quiet...
It seems like the magnaflows are always quiet not sure on the XR 1 I have not heard them that I know. with this being behind the turbo I know it will sound different anyway and I hate doing things multiple times. I even thought about just a bullet muffler. So any thoughts on the best sounding behind a turbo.
thanks a ton

Borla. Hell with the Magnaflow. Also maybe look into chambered pipe. Summit sells it in straight sections. Takes alot of the sting out of the exhaust but still thunders like a ****.

Thanks, I didnt know how much difference there would be wiht the Borla or Magnaflow since they are both a straight thru design.
Are teh chanbered pipes just a bullet or is that different?

Look up warlock mufflers they have a built in cut out. I like quiet cars so i would say magnaflo valve technology mufflers nice and quiet but at a certain pressure it opens up and get louder. I have one on my turbo geo and that thing makes it sound stock untill it comes into boost then makes a little deep note but almost all i hear in the car is the turbo. Thats a turbo bullet magna flo and a vt magna flo 2.5 in. Just my 2 cent

Thanks for the input guys, I will keep thinking here. I would love to hear a sound clip It seems like the turbo will quiet it down some. I dont think I want the tinny sound more of a deep sound would be good.
