How do I figure out which turbos are which?

How do I figure out which turbos are which? I always see people mention T-76 and such. I am getting a GT35 turbo for my truck and I am trying to find maps and compare to the T-76 that everyone talks about.

Only problem now is that on rear mount kits they change the A/R so I'm sure that will throw of the typical maps. Guess I'll just have to trust their judgement.
