Why all this power and not a good converter? That will make or break the setup.

easy answer there my yank converter is being saved for the 421. this thing cost me $300 and carrys a warranty that can be handled right over the counter in the neighboring town.

Converter is the difference in a 11 second car and 9 second car.

Absolutely no reason not to use the good converter in this build if you have it. You blow that cheap converter you can take out the transmission.

you guys are right i will problebly use the yank converter. i was just trying to keep the good stuff of to the side to be used with the good motor. im not loaded with cash or anything so i figure it might be wise.

Im also doing twin 70's with .68 ar and as long as you don't use too big of hot side piping it should spool fairly quickly. Im doing 2" piping. People go overkill on piping (2.5"+) and thats the main cause of boost threshold. 2" can support 1300+hp. You should be fine
