DFI gen7 questions .
I already have an ACCEL dfi gen7 that i used on my '99 4.3L v6 . It came with an V8 harness and fitted on all my stock sensors ( which are the same as the ls1 , like water temp sensor , iat sensor , aic , tps , etc.. ) but it is speed density . I have read over here from some people running the den7 on the ls1 and was wondering if they used the regular v8 harness and then used the fast edist box with it for ignition ? Or what did you guys do ? I don't see why an regular v8 harness wouldn't work exept for the ignition side . It has an big plug for the igniiton where you can put an other plug to use HEI or other type of ignition system ( all crank trigger , or cam signals , etc are in that plug . So i tougth that you might just need an signal for the edist box and should be good to go . But i don't think its that easy. I realy don't want to change to a diferent box cause i kinda got used to this gen7 and i like it alot . I already have a 3 bar map sensor , 75 lb/hr injectors , an procharger F1 intercooled kit that i would have to modify to fit the in my '99 Xtreme . I would just need to look around for an good shortblock .LEt me know .
