d1sc 5.3
d1sc 5.3 my setup right now is stock bottom end(120k), 317 heads, brute speed blower cam, meth, and d1sc 11lbs around 600hp. i have a 06 iron 5.3 block with only rotating assembly in it i got a year ago. i was planning on saving up to go forged with this 5.3 to raise the boost, but i been reading alot of threads here people making alot of power with these stock motors. im planning on dropping in this 5.3 and raising the boost. if i go this route whats is the most boost i should go with on the d1sc? what size of injectors should i go with? im at 60lbs injectors right now with high flow rails and double pumpers. thanks.

Max impeller speed for a D1sc is 62,000 rpm... So I would go:
8" balancer (10% od)
3.6" blower pulley,
spin it to 7000 rpms and that puts you at 62,222 at the impellar.
You will probably need bigger then the 60lb injectors though... I'd say 80lb to be safe...or you could put a boat load of meth through it to help with fueling.
Depending on the rest of the engine combo, trans, exhaust etc etc...you should break 750 rwhp or so on meth i'd guess.... (atleast until the ring lands let go)..

thanks, should i be fine with the same 317 heads that i have now? because i heard that these heads lower the compression to 8:1 on these motors. the pistons are flat btw not like dish pistons on other 5.3. also will the brutespeed blower cam that i have now be ok for the little 5.3 if not which cam will be good cam for this setup?
