Boosted bored out cast 5.3 ? Anyone boosting the hell out of a cast 5.3 bored too 3.9xx ?
My 383 ls1 is looking a little worse for wear, and I was considering getting hold of a 5.3 Block and boring it to take my rotating assembly.

ive always like the shorter stroke for boost.
but i guess it wouldnt be too bad bored to 3.905
just a pain bc u should def check the the cyl walls to make sure theyre still nice and thick after machining.

i was kind of worried about this too but there are a couple of guys running some good boost on them over on the truck forums. i should have all of the stuff for my build at the machine shop by the end of the month, im doing a lm7 based 383 with a pt7675 billet wheel. im just crossing my fingers that everything holds up well.
