Default t56 and 2 step spool time with pt7675

Figured id post this video for some people here since i have been asked quite a bit how this turbo spools with the six speed... 5.3liter pt7675 the a/r is a .81. ran a 6.92 at 106 yesterday with the methanol not working for some reason. my laptop battery died but im sure the computer was pulling tons of timing at full boost because i have a aggressive IAT to pull timing at temps above 90 incase of meth failure (basically it should have gone faster i think LOL). aborted this run cause it was just spinning the 28 inch stickeys too much.

bogged HARD on this run but its fun to pull past a trailored car that fast haha.. yes it was slow.

You need to get that 60' down! I've been 6.90 @ 102.5 and still feel my 60' has a lot of room for improvement, but I'm on a 26" slick. What rear gears are you running?

that spools fast! You are on the 2 step for a second before it actually does spool. Impressive.

What 2 step are you running?

if you have a 2 step, run a continuously closed button in line with your iat sensor so when you press the button the car thinks it is -38* then pull a bunch of timing in that cell via hp tuners. You will have all the boost you need, my car will easily do 7-10psi in an instant on the 2 step with 2 cheapo 76 mm's on a 346.

thanks guys! it sure is fun... its like slow motion when i drive it feels like it takes for ever to spool... when i watch the video back its and eye opener how fast it actually does spool.

nitroused id love to get the 60' down but its primarily a street car and i dont want to do a drag suspension setup. i just play at the track .. best 60' so far is a 1.703 but the car is heavy as ****... was 3720 raceweight before the iron block and dana 60. its gotta be close to 3900 i imagine with the turbo stuff/ iron block/ dana 60... gears are 3.54 and 28" tires so its not too launch friendly.

gnx 7 its the msd 2 step.. i really like it, very easy to install and wire.

thanks again everyone!

I gotcha, it does really help make it fast if you can pull a bunch of timing. I have 14-15 degrees commanded and I am pulling 20* in the -38 cell and as soon as pull the timing boost is instant. Before I did this it would only make about 4 psi and would take a bit to get there.

thats awesome if i actually ever put a suspension under this car and hook ill definitely do that! i had plans to do the same thing with a relay to control timing when i had nitrous but never actually had the time.. on a side note... i burned the number 1 plug wire and unplugged the ect sensor... i never actually did plug that back in.... so that means it was pulling -6 degrees out of my commanded 17. i cant believe it went as fast as it did lol

wow, that is good. Suspension will do amazing things for you! I have gone several 1.40's on 26's and 28's. I just stepped up to 29x10.5's and am aiming for 1.3x's still on the 4.30's. I really doubt the t56 will last to long though.
