newb here. been lurking for a while. have a 5.3 with truck intake/manifolds and putting together a budget turbo build and am currently collecting parts. was looking for s475 or s480 turbo and having trouble finding one local. anyone have a deal on a new one are a used one in decent shape?

anyways i found this airresearch turbo fs on craigslist and have a question about it.

2- is a garrett 76 mm- intake side a/r. 75 5"inlet 3"outlet x ust side a/r. 96 5" outlet 3" inlet t-6 flange just rebuilt $800

forcedinductions.com for the s480's are the best deals.

air research is probably a diesel turbo, pics would help. also exducer #'s for the compressor and turbine wheels, doesnt sound too bad, the A/r on the exhaust seem about right for the size's

Depending on room you have T6 is a big flange, meaning the turbo is pretty heavy, but if you shooting for a s480, they are pretty large as well.

I have a brand new 76mm Magnum for sale. It's has a T-4 flange, .96 a/r housing, and a Q-trim impeller. I bought it from Rob at Modular turbo with the intent of doing a single setup on a 5.0. I have since decided to do a twin 72 setup on a 6.0. $800 shipped. Just shoot me a pm.

We have the BW480's for 899.

The Garrett unit is a DDC unit, used for many years and they are tough units. Only problem is they are slow spooling and use much older compressor wheel technology. That 82mm will maybe flow like a current 76, but have tons more lag.
