I do not have an IAT hooked up yet either.... guess that could possibly be an issue, it affects ALOT of tables but I dont see it causing this horrible backfire...

never tred to clear the code and see if it that worked but I bet your right, ll try it...

so are you suggesting the DBW is the source of the problem?
Im my case it was throwing a code for dbw and going into "reduced engine power" displayed on the dash. I would assume the DBW has all kinds of safety features built in so the commanded throttle blade position is never different then actual. I just turned it off and put a cable throttle body on the truck.

I would get a workin IAT on the car. Im sure its not a huge deal for what the air actually is, but it gets stated many times that a car with fail values from an IAT can sometimes be doing weird things.

Post the tune if you want real help there- totally understanding that its not anywhere near done since u cant make a pass in boost =)

Have you checked to see if it is blowing the throttle blade shut under boost?

How would u check that?

Either the blade shuts and causes the backfire or it backfires and causes the blade to shut...

Either way when it happens i lose All throttle control.... Pedal does nothing but motor stays running.
