Wiseco makes a shelf piston that's roughly .020" taller in the crown, leaving you some added strength and your top ring further away from the flame. You might consider leaving an extra .020 or so in your deck height and taking advantage of such a piston..

Would you happen to have a link to that piston or a wiesco part #? I bought my LSX block so now looking for the other pieces. I asked Marty at SDPC and he was unaware and was going to look into it.
