I would recommend a much different cam for a positive displacement blower than the Stage 1 cam.

I hope so. I even did a pre-cam idle clip so you can compare back to back. Might have to skip date night tonight...

Awesome, it will be interesting to see the difference in idle videos, but what I really want to know about is how it performs.

The cam is in, drove it around the block but no real test yet. The computer still needs to do some more self tuning. Sounds good though...

BEFORE...

AFTER...

No new video for a while. Was doing a roll on pull through 3rd gear and blew up the transmission in a glorious symphony of smashing metal parts sounds. Looking at my options. Maybe a tick magnum?

Martin, I am looking at going Procharger F1A and was wondering if you had any sound clips of your more aggressive blower cams ? Thanks!

Here is a custom cam that I did for a 408 with a F1X. I would probably recommend a custom cam going with a blower that large, but there is a possibility after I review your entire set-up that one of the shelf blower cams could work very well with your set-up.

Have you gotten into it yet? How does it feel? That cam should work very well even with the size of your motor and the turbo that you have. Very efficient in terms of overlap.

It surprised me that it sounds that beefy though!

yes ive done several WOT pulls. im only at 6psi right now...once we get more time to tune, we are thinking about bringing it up to 11-14 psi. pulls very nice, feels strong all the way to the top (although i have no dyno graph yet).

its wierd, it didnt sound that beefy at first, but after a few warm ups and wot pulls, it got "meaner"... i like it.

Lifters had to pump up. Happens all the time here at the shop when we do a cam install. Once they pump up you get full valve lift.

Is it really pulling 17 degrees of vacuum? If so it should drive like a damn dream!

unless my vac/boost gauge is wrong, it is @17*. it has its own independent map sensor hooked up to its own vac source. so it should be correct it drives well. just gotta adjust the tune a little in the 1.5k-2.2k rpm range for the on/off throttle cruise driving..but over all very happy thus far. hoping to get it on the dyno in the next week or 2. ill post an update and dyno when we do.
