my 60 pounders are EV1 plug style and the stockers are the small truck style. i have to wire in new connectors...im not driving the car there, i will trailer it..i just want it running and idle so i can check for leaks, oil pressure and get fluid through the trans.

Unless your last tune was drastically different than now, you shouldn't have issues just starting it up and staying at idle. Then again, it may be far enough off, it may not want to start up and idle. Try it out. If it doesn't start, send for the mail in tune. Or if you have someone handy with tuner cat or similar just to get it started, that might be the best of both worlds.

no room for error with boost. dyno all the way. just drive it there on the current tune and keep the rpm low. thats what I did too.

My buddy got a base tune which would be a mail order tune if u sent them your computer. Car had a 383 ls6, 78gts, 80lb injectors and a tu2 cam and went 9.90's on their tune with 0 problems. If I did do a mail order tune I'd call Speed Inc and get with them on it and trust the tune for a while till I dialed it all in.

you need a dyno tune with boost just so ya know..... lol sorry couldnt resist.....

mail order tune could easily get your car to idle and run out of boost to do what you need to do
