Default cam

im in the middle of a ls swap in my 5.0 an i wanted to know what cam to use if im going to do a turbo set up iv been told that it cant be lopey an if it is it wont work very well so what cam should i go with?

the motor is out of a 05 silverado an its a 5.3 an im wanting to get it setup for turbo but idk which cam to use

Speed inc's turbo cams are lopey and people have made great numbers with them. that's why i went with them

ok ill look into them what else would i need cause i know that when you run a turbo you have to upgrade alot of parts so that it doesnt mess anything up like the pistons an rods an stuff like that

keep the rotating assembly how it is. if you want to spin it past 6500 rpm get some katech rod bolts. heres the other parts i got that you should consider; brian tooley dual valve springs (tickperformance.com), texas speed hardened pushrods (same thing as comp), new style ls2 single roller timing chain (texasspeed.com), KMJ head studs (ebay), LS9 head gaskets (texasspeed.com) and then youll want the TU1 cam. i used the tu2 because i have a 364ci. that should put you on the right track
