Heat shields
Heat shields Would like to get a heat shield blanket for my 60 series Turbonetics turbo. I think the general consensus is that it does help decrease under hood temps. I do HPDE's, and I have destroyed a intermediate steering shaft (which nobody makes anymore) with the heat, along with some plug wires.
Is it going to make a big difference if I wrap (or coat) my hotside and put a blanket on the turbo?

I would say it definitely makes a diff if you wrap the hot side. I have no personal experience with wraping turbos but I do with LT's and its a world of diff. I would imagine turbos or any hot side part would likely benefit as much or more. BTW, Im glad your not the Tyler Wilson of the Arkansas Razorbacks or Id have to Boo you off this forum, and Im a damn Arkansas fan.
