Default camshaft opinions please

Im looking at a new cam for my turbo car. #3200 backhalfed thirdgen, 315 drag radials, 4l80, 3.50 gear, 5.3 with 317s pt76 on pump gas and 15 psi boost. Its a slug out of boost with the zo6 cam in it. Anybody have some info for me on low comp. turbo cams? I would like something in it that would wake it up earlier in the rpm range. I have done research and dont see alot on low compression combos. Everyone says take off the 317's and bump the compression. I dont want more compression. I like running pump gas. Any experience based info would be great. Thanks.

Live with it or more compression. You dont want to put a smaller cam in it do you? There is a reason everyone says to take off the 317's. Add a meth kit.

Get the Zo6 cam out of it and put an LS9 in it then.

Get some EVO in the thing and it will spool.

Someone has to have tried to make it work....I really dont want to switch the heads, planning on running 20psi next season. I do have a meth kit on it but I never use it. The ls9 cam makes better power down low?
I figured they would be close to the same. Thanks for the replies.

If you wanna do a custom grind you can do tht too.

Itd be your best bet.

Plus dont worry about the 317's on a 5.3....just means you can run 30 psi of boost and not blow it up.

Most likely I will talk to a custom spec guy. I want to protree race next year and dont want to waste any time spooling. I will keep the 317's cause I want to pound the boost in it for 1/8 mile sometimes.lol Thanks
