Default What's the fastest stock bottom end LSx?

As far as the Internet knows, who has the quickest/fastest LS based stock bottom end? Whats it run? And is it a stock suspension full bodied car or tube chassis big tire, etc? Stock bottom end being stock block, crank, rods, pistons.

We have been 1.26 60', 5.70@122, and 8.98 @ 147 in a stock suspension full weight 85 Mustang Street car. #3400+ This was weighed on DragWeek the year before this run, before we added more reinforcements in the rear suspension mounting points.

The car was having problems with the ignition firing the E85 after about 1000 ft.(this why there is a lower MPH than expected) This is also a Non-Intercooled street driven, street car, even has the stock heater, dash, etc.
We drove 1300+ miles on HotRod DragWeek in 2010 with it.

Stock 02' LQ4, stock short block, stock 317 heads, Z06 cam, stock rod bolts, stock ring gaps, ls9 gaskets, arp head studs(We went 9.37 on stock head gaskets, and stock tty head bolts @ about #50lbs less weight on DragWeek the year before this video.)

3.25 rear gear 9", "Hutch" powerglide, Ultimate convertor.

Truck manifolds, Pt88 turbo, twin tial 44mm wastegates.

Megasquirt II, MSD 6010, Fuelab prodigy pump, e85 "out of the pump" fuel.

We tried to increase the voltage to the "heat sink" truck coils the next year and destroyed the engine with what we now know as "scatter spark" those coils are prone to when drawing too much current.

mayhem motorsports recently went 5.44@129 on a stock 5.3 set up. That is the quickest through the 1/8th

Skinnies as stated above has been 8.6x in the 1/4 on a stock 5.3 set up.

i recently went 5.88@119 on my stock 4.8.

Lavoy has been 5.65 iirc and 8.85 so he is the stock 4.8 record holder.

Do you guys have an oil diaper, or containment pan on that car?

You are pushing those older rods really hard to go that fast at you weight.

If it holds together it should do 160, you have the gear for that?

Good Luck, hope to see some good video of it.

Times in my sig on a shitty pass, only 5.7 through the 1/8th, been 5.5 through the 1/8th but never got a clean full pass as our track shut down. I sold the rx7 early this year, but got a mustang to build to try to go faster with. That 5.44 1/8th should do it, I still think setup in the right car 7.99 is doable at 170+ mph.

Skinnies, what year is your motor? Should I be worried about my 03 rods and pistons in mine when Maxx turns it up? Ha.

Hell ya! My rx7 was a stupid cheap street car chassis that we never got worked out until the end....then broke the glide and the track closed.
