Hot side options shorter length vs equal length?
Hot side options shorter length vs equal length? I was just pondering the hotside for my twinscroll T6 S480 and was a little torn. My thoughts are this: Would it be better to have one side shorter or lengthen it out to be the same length on both sides before going into the turbo. I know most will say it doesn't matter on a V8, but I figure every little bit will help. Excuse the crude drawing.
I am guessing with the 92mm turbine on the 5.3 and a 1.10 T6 housing it probably will not start seeing any huge backpressure until at least 5500-6000 rpms. My main thought is to aid in spool up. Shorter tract for one side vs equal length on both sides of the motor.
