Input needed for torque converter
Input needed for torque converter Alright guys I hate to post a thread such as this but im a little unsure of what stall converter I should run. My car is a 93 notch.
Car will at most weigh 3k with me in it. Motor trans set up consists of stock lq9 with ls9 cam and intake and a fmvb th400. Turbo system consists of a on3 t76.rear gear currently is a 2.73 but may go a 3.27 ratio if the 2.73s are too steep,i also am running 27inch drag radials. Car is about 90% street car but about 40% of that time will be spent doing rolls at 40ish. Im thinking I should run a 3000 stall or do you guys think thats not big enough?

Thanks for the insightful answer,i know it needs to be a custom converter and not some off the shelf cheapo converter.im looking to hear real world suggestions from people of what stall speed would work good on a street car but not give up to much

You need to call whoever you're getting a converter from and tell them what you want. They'll build it to do exactly what you want. A converter for a turbo car is nowhere near as simple as "3000 stall." My first post is right, custom.
