Proper BOV spring?

Default Proper BOV spring?

I took the car to get tuned a while back ago and the tuner said my BOV spring was to stiff for the vacuum of the car. He did not have the proper one so he put some springs he had from a different name brand BOV. Now, I noticed that at idle the BOV is opening and it idles rough.

I had a Tial Q BOV with a Pink spring that was switched to some unknown springs.

How do I know which spring to use? I know I have to use the vacuum the car produces but should I take the measurement in Park or while driving normally? In Park the vacuum is about -8-9 and while cruising steady it is about -12.

According to Tial's web site I should use the Black spring for -8 to -11 vacuum or the White spring for -12 to -15 vacuum.

Which one is the correct spring for my application?

If I put the Pink spring in can I damage anything?

my tuner told me to get the 10 ps1 spring, for my Tial 50mm BOV i have not run it yet, but i know he knows what he's run in the past.

u use the one for when ur in park at idle.id say use the black

I think you want it to be closed at idle, but just barely, so air isn't getting sucked in through the BOV if the turbo isn't discharging air. Any vacuum more than idle will then open it, but at this point the turbo should be pushing at least some air out of the BOV. Anyone else care to comment this? This info came from this thread:
