Depends on the dyno! Stock LS1's on mine only make 265-275 and I've done a few setups similar to yours only they had non stock camshafts and they were in the mid 400's. What year car/LS1 is it? 01-02 car will make a little more power just due to the ls6 intake flowing better. 98 car will have more trouble due to the crap heads on them.

Either way it'll be a fun setup for sure!

Agreed james. It definitely depends on his N/A dyno number. My numbers are based off his car being a stick, strong motor and on a dyno jet (guessing).

If hes on a mustang dyno, and its not a strong motor "factory beast" , then hes probably going to be somewhere around 440-450.

all comes down to how happy the motor is, and how the tuner manipulates the tune with the meth.

I used stock lifters, pushrods, rockers and I have been running 25lbs of boost and still holding. Have it tuned down to 15lbs now. This is on an engine with 180,000 miles. No way I would bother with pushrods.

It will also more than likely be tuned on a mustang dyno.

Pushrods are $100. There's no way I wouldn't throw a set in, especially with the t56. It's cheap insurance. The lifters are fine and so are the rockers with a trunion upgrade.

i made 501 md with 6psi baby cam, springs and ud pulley on otherwise stock 98 ls1 6 speed. We were out of stock fuel pump and inj but probably could have made a little more. Stock motor should make 500+ 8+lbs. Think i picked up roughly 25hp/lb

That's good to hear. I plan on putting a single 255lph pump in so as not to have that issue and at least 60 lb injectors. Cant wait to get this thing together.

if you plan on blowing it in a few pieces might be better to wait on the cam unless its cheap enough. When mine let go a bunch of debris got caught on the rollers scarring the cam. Was just a 100$ cl special and 170k motor for me but just a thought if you want salvage anything

i did swap a 255 pump in shortly after and ran 8-9lbs for a year and 20k

Good to hear some of this. Im currently turbo'd with a 98 A4 and looking to make a few upgrades that the previous owner shouldve done.

Yes I may just wait on the camshaft because the stock ls1 is a time bomb lol

Why do you think it is such a time bomb? With a good tune it will last quite awhile.
