can I use a 3bar for only 15# of boost any recommendations ls6 intake

You could use a 3-bar with no boost if you wanted. So the simple answer is yes.

However, I think you lose some resolution in the ve table if 3-bar is not needed.

As long as the map sensor is calibrated to your ecu, then yes you can.
