Procharger guys... Header wrap ?

The headers will be bolted to the heads before I stuff the engine back up through the bottom of car. Hopefully that wont be a issue.

This is why I wonder if you could do it with the exhaust on the car. My headers are welded to the rest of the exhaust and pulling the exhaust would be a real beotch

Make sure you allow room for spark plug access. Lock-wire, normally used for securing fasteners, works well for securing the ends of the wrap. Bob

You might end up with a back ache but you should be able to wrap most of the headers with them installed on the car. A lot of it can be done from under the car. Bob

Thanks for the heads up on the plugs. Are you referring to "safety wire" that you install where you have drilled holes in bolt heads and nuts ?

You're welcome. Yes I am referring to the safety wire, just bend over the ends when you're done so you don't cut yourself on them and safety wire works very well and cost a lot less. Bob

I used hose clamps on the primaries and the collectors. It's a much more solid option than metal zip ties.

I thought about using hose clamp but was concerned about the bulky screw and housing of the hose clamp getting in the way when changing plugs. Also I want this to look as clean as possible.
