E85 vs Alky
On E85 I run very conservative timing. I run no more than 13-14 degrees at full boost. It always worries me to go any higher than that on E85. I do not run an intercooler. With methanol I don't think I would be afraid to go ahead and ramp the timing up to 18 degrees or even more.
My question is how much would you increase your fuel values going from E85 to methanol. I would hate to mess it up on the first pass. I was thinking about adding 25 percent across the board. And start from there.
I don't plan on doing this for a while but have thought about it later in the year if I don't get my 5 sec pass. I use HPtuners.
At a base press. of 43 the 160s will only carry you to about 900hp too.
Methanol is alot more work than E85, that is one reason we switched to e85 in the second fuel system on Mike's car, and my Wagon. They both use to be dual fuel with an 87/methanol combos.
Altho, the logs we had on the methanol and no intercooler were way cooler than the E85 and no intercooler.
I am not trying to steer you away from it, but it will be more work than the E85.

on methanol, the stall increased 300 rpms and it revved quicker, so methanol definitely makes more torque than e85.
as hellbent said, you can run high timing with e85 too. I would definitely flow your pumps at boosted pressure to know exactly how many gph or lph they will flow because you dont want that to not be enough and grenade the motor.
I had issues with milky oil on methanol that I never had on e85 so that is something else to consider.
finally, I would at least 50 percent more fuel everywhere( including cranking fuel, accel enrichment, etc) to go to methanol
good luck man. once you go methanol you might not go back
