aluminium block vs iron im building a turbo 6.0 I already have a 2002 LQ4 ls3 heads ls9 cam t78 turbo reverse manifold setup I have intentions to replace the rod bolts and regap/replace rings
Now the issue is I just had a l76 or the 2008 vortec max engine just fall in my lap
which would be the better builder I know the newer one have far better internals but the LQ4 has the iron block I plan on boosting to around 15 18 psi max average roughly it will see 12 to 14
I will have meth 80lb injectors complete fuel system and already have holley hiram intake and 102 tb
which one should I go with

The L76 has better rods, and is a ton lighter. Downfall is they are usually dod but not hard to convert. If engine has around 100K 0n it rings should be ok.
