Turbo s10 build thread I figured I'd do a build thread on my s10 since its been built once last year and torn apart again to put a 5.7 with s480 in it this go around this year. It started as my daily driver 4 cyl when the heater core went out and I decided a v8 was a better idea than fixing the heater core. One thing led to the next and I ended up with a 10 sec street/show/strip s10. Ladder bars, coil overs all the way around, disc brakes all the way around, frame off resto, 13:1 compression 383, PA trans th400, everything new or freshened. I took it to the track twice and could never get it to hook up, partially from the track sucking and it being windy and cold when I ran it last fall. It sat in my garage until about 3 weeks ago when I sold the motor and bought a built 5.7 LS1 in pieces that a friend of a friend built. It made 800 rwhp in his mustang with the s480 turbo and with ported 243 heads and fuel injection running e85. Right now I've got the motor and turbo mocked up in the truck. I've also bought a set of 225 trick flow heads to open it up even more. Ill try and keep this thread updated on the progress, should be pretty sick in the truck once I tune the suspension and get it to hook. It went 9.20's in the mustang, should go pretty well in the s10.
